Frequently asked questions
Q.
How will your patrols know which vehicles are authorised to park?
| |
A.
We supply you with parking permits, unless you already have your own that you wish to continue using. Alternatively you can supply us with a list of registration numbers.
Q.
If we have a visitor for the day, how will your patrol be able to identify this vehicle as authorised to park there?
| |
A.
We can supply you with visitor permits, which they should display for the duration of their stay. Alternatively, you can phone our Controller with the vehicle registration. Some sites require that we call into the premises before carrying out enforcement; this ensures that anyone on a quick visit is not penalised. Signing in sheets can also be used at premises where there is a high turnover of visitors.

Q.
We only have a couple of parking spaces that need protecting, is it really worth your bother?
| |
A.
Yes. We're here to provide you with a service, regardless of the size of the site.
Q.
I assume that your operations are legal?
| |
A.
Yes. We operate within the governing regulations for all the services we provide. All our staff are fully trained to industry standards, and our clamping operatives are licensed by the Government's 'Security Industry Authority' (SIA).
Q.
We only need you to check on our site once a week, is that ok?
| |
A.
Yes. We will provide the service that you require. Once a week is fine, if that's all that's needed.
Q.
Will we have to deal with people who've been clamped?
| |
A.
No. They use the phone number displayed to contact our Controller directly in order to arrange payment and clamp removal.
Q.
What happens if somebody wants to complain or appeal against a fine?
| |
A.
We have an appeal/complaints procedure. Appeals can be made in writing or by e-mail; we then respond within 21 days, and a refund will be made where due.
Q.
Our car park is for customers only, how will your operative know which cars to clamp/ticket ?
| |
A.
Depending on the size of the site, they can call into the premises beforehand in order to check which vehicles are validly parked, before carrying out the clamping/ticketing procedure. At larger sites we usually set a time limit, and there is of course the option of a Pay and Display system in larger car parks.

Q.
What are the charges for your services?
| |
A.
For parking protection measures such as clamping or ticketing there is an affordable annual charge for the use of the signage, which includes a maintenance guarantee to ensure that damaged/removed signs are replaced at no extra cost to you. Please be aware that some companies may offer signs at nil cost. We find, in these situations, that the signs will likely be of a poor quality or size, and measures employed may well contravene Industry guidelines, simply to allow the company to generate excessive and unfair revue. Professional companies will almost certainly have to charge for their services, in order to render their operations commercially viable.
